Thanksgiving Prayer

As I turn in on this Thanksgiving Day (night), I'm feeling blessed by spending a wonderful day with family and enjoying such a tasty feast.  However, what's really on my mind is the a compelling feeling to say "thanks" to my husband who has so patiently endured a sloppy household and many nights with me hunkered down on the computer or in my studio as I was preparing to launch my website and scripture art business.  I've been pouring myself into this for the last 2 months and he's been so patient as other duties got put on the back burner.  I want to thank my son as well for his patience when mom was distracted by “business” and that I love his quirky way of encouraging me by singing the "GodSends" jingle he made up.

I couldn’t feel more grateful right now ~ while I’m excited, I’m certainly also nervous for what the future holds in this new venture.  However, I know with God by my side and working all things out for good, how can I fail?  If I can touch even one person who is going through trials and comfort them with God’s messages of hope, encouragement, love and peace; then I’ve succeeded!  I just feel blessed to be able to share the message of hope through the scriptures in such a unique manner. Thank you Lord for this opportunity!

Lastly, I'd like to share a prayer I received from http://www.childrenofdestiny.org/:
Dear Lord,
Today, we take time out to give you thanks for all the tremendous blessings we enjoy every day. Even in the midst of our difficult circumstances and the trials we face, we recognize that we have been the recipients of your mercy and grace. We thank you that no matter what we are going through, we have assurance that your love endures forever! We thank you that because of your love, you have provided us with salvation and have rescued us from death, hell, and the grave. We thank you that we have a heavenly eternity to look forward to. And even while we live here on this earth, we are the recipients of your enduring love. We thank you for your forgiveness, your provision, your guidance, and your grace to help us navigate our way through each day. We thank you that you will never forget or forsake us. We thank you that even in the darkest night, you shine your light to show us the way. Not only today, but each and every day of our lives, we thank you that we can truly know that your love for us endures forever.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
   His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods.
   His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
   His love endures forever.
to him who alone does great wonders,
   His love endures forever.
who by his understanding made the heavens,
   His love endures forever.
who spread out the earth upon the waters,
   His love endures forever.
who made the great lights -
   His love endures forever.
the sun to govern the day,
   His love endures forever.
the moon and stars to govern the night;
   His love endures forever.

Psalm 136:1-9
